Gloria is a single parent living in her father, Sal's home. She only wants daughter Maria to fill out her application for college. All Maria wants is to go to New York and be on All My Children with her idol, Susan Lucci. When Gloria discovers that Grandpa Sal is secretly helping Maria send video auditions to the show, she is forced to remember her own forgotten dreams.
