BROTHERS LAUGHTER

Book, Music and Lyrics by Michael L. Ricciardi and John D. Nugent

Two brothers, once the greatest comedy writing team in the business, having written for such legends as Sid Caesar and for the Colgate Comedy Hour. They have written with such iconic names as Woody Allen and Mel Brooks.

The elder brother taught the younger everything he knew, and the younger brother chose to leave the team for the lights of Broadway. The older brother stayed behind to write for television. The younger brother gained worldwide fame with a play which was started by his older brother – and never gave him any credit!

Now the older brother is reaching his golden years, and he finds himself living in the shadow of a younger brother he hasn’t spoken to since the issue with the credit on the play. One day, the younger brother shows up at the older brother’s Sherman Oaks condo to get blessing on a new play he’s written – one based on their childhood together.

But old grudges die hard.
