Turning of the Bones

Written by Jan Villarrubia with songs by Audrey Villarrubia

Now grown up, Kate looks back on her growing up days in 1950s New Orleans. Her memories are dominated by Cashmere, a black live-in family servant in her white Jewish/Catholic household.

A charming, poignant, amusing look at the day to day, somewhat normal dysfunctional antics of family life, puncuated by the musings of this larger-than-life man who never lost his pride. "My mother was from Madagascar."

The songs are folksy ukelele tunes which can be sung easily and a vocal sample will be provided.
